As a product of the great plains of Colorado, I want to share the stories of the people and places that have significantly influenced both Colorado history and American history. After immersing myself in my Grandmother's tales of her childhood travels to Colorado and her experiences growing up on the harsh plains, I recognized that these narratives were worth sharing. I've compiled the diary entries alongside my Uncle Lester's written story, which embodies the spirit of a true historian and storyteller. Heartbreak, hardship, and heartwarming stories abound in these accounts. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into our past.

Many of these narratives are intertwined with my own family's history, making them all the more compelling, much like the work of Don Brookhart, who also delves into these rich tales.

As a storyteller and historian like Don Brookhart, I often weave these experiences with historical facts, and there's nothing wrong with a little embellishment.
